Our engineers have implemented a new mechanism that result in omNovia Web Conference negotiating through the very vast majority of corporate firewalls. The new mechanism called HTTP encapsulation repackages the data (including live audio and video) as simple HTTP.

In addition to the ‘Snapshot’ option for the White Board, it is now possible to generate snapshots in the World Map view as well as in the Instant Poll. Simply click the snapshot button after you stop a poll and upload a snapshot into the Documents folder.

The live video from webcam now offers a larger video size when shown in the users list and utilizes the latest H264 (HD quality) codec. It also defaults as mirrored (with the option to turn it off). Mirrored videos are optimal for video conferencing.

When turning on your webcam or pushing the microphone settings option, a new setup popup window greets you with a much more user-friendly interface. Also notice the new setup allows you to turn on the microphone at the same time as the camera. Previously you had to turn on the camera and the microphone separately.
