Shawn Shadfar is the founder and C.E.O of omNovia Technologies Inc., a Houston based company providing cutting edge web and video conferencing solutions. Prior to omNovia Mr. Shadfar directed the Information Security Group at Schlumberger. The group, which he co-founded in 1999, specialized in smart card based security and implemented large projects for organizations such as the NASA, the US Department of Defense, and large oil and gas companies. In the late nineties, Mr. Shadfar participated in the team that created the first Java-based smart card with on-board cryptography.
Mr. Shadfar holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech in Atlanta and a Master of Science in Computer Science from Ecole Superieure d’Electricite in Paris.
